Woodhouse Community Primary SchoolNewsMini-BudsAs well as our normal buddies in school Mrs Turner came into school from the anti bullying service and trained up our Year 2 class to become Mini Buds. Year 2 spent the morning with Mrs Turner looking at what a bully is, how we can stop bullies, what to do if we are being bullied and how to prevent bullying. The children are now all fully qualified and ready for action. Show Racism the Red CardChildren, last week, were visited by Dean Gordon, Luther Bliss and Paul Mortimer who previously played football as a profession. The players did a workshop with the children about racism looking at what it actually means, how it affects people in society and ways to prevent it. Afterwards, the children where taken into the hall and taught some impressive skills. Visitor from TanzaniaVisitor from TanzaniaThis week we are pleased to welcome Mr Samson Olutu to our school. He is part of a group of seven headteachers who are visiting primary schools in the local area. We are sure that Mr Samson will learn a lot about life in English schools and that we will learn more about Tanzania. |
