Home / Parents / Childcare Provision

Childcare Provision

Primary Schools are now required to publish alongside their Performance information a list of their childcare provision making it easier for parents to know what is available.

Woodhouse Community Primary School offers a full range of childcare provision which we have listed below:

2 Year Old Provision:

We are pleased to offer provision for 2 year old’s as part of a recent extension to our EYFS unit. Currently, we  can offer 8 places for 2 year old children on a morning and on an afternoon session. Please contact Mrs Byrne our EYFS Manager  if you require any further information.

30 Hours Free Childcare for 3-4 year old’s:

You may be entitled to up to 30 hours of free childcare (1,140 hours per year, which you can choose how you take) if your child is aged 3 to 4 years old.

This is designed to help working families by reducing the cost of childcare and to support parents into work or to work more hours, should they wish to do so. We believe that the additional time in our Early Years setting will also help to further develop your child’s readiness for school.

Should you wish to take advantage of this, please contact Mrs Byrne, who will be happy to provide further details regarding eligibility criteria and how you can apply. You can also click on the link to the Gov.UK website  https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare

School Clubs

At Woodhouse Community Primary School, we are pleased to be able to offer a wide range of after- school clubs and activities, which encourage children of all ages to develop skills and talents outside of the classroom. For some clubs, we would ask for a minimal contribution towards the running of the club (eg. Lingotots).

Please click on the link to our after- school clubs and activities, which change each half term.
